Ruins Reimagined in Ink

From lens to line: A Temple’s timeless echo

Photographed in 2006 with my first DSLR, this hidden ruin in Hampi still lies off the main trails—
tucked between rugged boulders and vast banana plantation.

In 2025, I recreated it in pen and ink—each line honoring its enduring form.
The sketch breathes new life into age-old silence.

Side by side, photo and drawing reflect two visions of one truth.
A tribute to history—seen, felt, and drawn by hand.

This temple is part of the Hampi archaeological landscape. I took a bit of a trek to reach it, hidden in a vast plantation beside a boulder hill.
