Lepakshi

Lepakshi village of Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. Home to the 16th century Veerabhadra temple built by the brothers Viranna and Virupanna.

This is done in the classic Vijayanagara architecture style - massive granite composite pillars, Pillared open hall, cloister with platform etc.

The whole nandi is carved out of a single granite boulder.
